Yes, /proc/acpi/wakeup still seems to have no effect on wakeup events. Though
there is an interesting update.
If I disable LID0 in /proc/acpi/wakeup and suspend with pm-utils the laptop
wakes up on opening the lid and LID0 is still disabled in /proc/acpi/wakeup.
But when I use the old hibernate

This problem is seen when trying to play VCD. I am using intrepid with latest
updates. But totem plays VCD fine when it is started from the Movie menu.
There is another problem that totem can not go to next track on VCD but I am
not sure if it is totem problem or gstreamer problem.

randomly clicks stuff, in in one case, edited my email to gibberish :( I

I did a couple of trials. I was wondering what 'savedefault' was doing
in my Vista entry in menu.lst, it shouldn't be there so I removed it.
And to my surprise that seemed to solve the problem! So I rebooted once
more and added it again from the Grub gui at boot and got the error:

NOTE: this was after the initial apt-get install failed. After purging
the install, and installing all the recommended and suggested
packages (other than postgres and de doc) - it processed correctly. You
might still want to look into it, but wanted you to know where it was...

I connect to a Netgear WGR614v9 router with NAT filtering set to open.
After my router I have a satellite modem (Wildblue ISP).
I did find some info in my routers log which indicated that something
incoming was attempting an 'IP spoof' DOS attack. I'll do a little more

I completely wiped my hd and loaded the latest Ubuntu. I tried the driver
again with ndiswrapper and had no freezes or errors. It seems the problem is
fixed. The driver didn't work for my builtin WiFi but thats not your
problem. It did not freeze the system. Good work you guys!

As mentioned in my follow-up to bug #260122, the postrm is the wrong
place to call pam-auth-update for removal.
Please instead call it in the prerm instead, using semantics equivalent
to the following:

pam-auth-update --package --remove ecryptfs-utils

I don't see this issue anymore. The font dialog appears to function
properly and the default font when Use system fonts is check seems to
be correct now.
