Indeed it may be a video card problem.
During those two seconds I cannot hit the turnoff button as it is not visible.
All I see during this time is a white box. After the fade efect is done, the
box will correctly show the buttons.
I have the an ATI graphic card (hd4300) with ati radeon 9.5
No crashes experienced in the last week for me.

When I try to install digikam with with KPackageKit it tells me that
libgpod4-nogtk has to be removed. But when I try to remove
libgpod4-nogtk, it tells me it has to also remove amarok.
