I can confirm this on AMD64 Kubuntu 10.04 using lame MP3.
The audio file gets written ok, but K3B never pops up the completed window, nor
does it make the little 'honk' sound. Instead the K3B process just sits there
and sucks up 100% of one of my cores until I kill it.

I just upgraded to 10.04 and got OOo 3.2 with it. Impress' speed is not
impressive. It's having a really tough time.
I have turned off anti-aliasing. It seems to be helping. The hardware
acceleration has no effect. I have an nVidia GTX 9500 card with nVidia
driver.

I found the location of the file I had to mod according to the gdiff.

I still would like to know how I would go about finding the fix though.

I am using Pidgin 2.5.5 on Ubuntu 9.04
The FB plugin is 1.47. I think that is the newest release.
It would appear I'm not able to send to others. I don't chat with
multiple facebook folks, but I did try to summons a few after my active
chat went silent, and no one replied.

I have reinstalled 8.10 and for the life of me, I can't get 1680 1050 to work
at all now.
The card is not recognizing the 22 monitor like it used to.
It wouldn't be so bad if it had not worked before.

I opened the lid and tried to see if I could get it to go 1680x1050.
It did not work...
But here is the kicker...I shut down, close the lid restart.
Now I get this...

The 1680x1050 no longer worked after I installed Mplayer. So I'm sure something
in there must have broken it. I noticed it needed alot of libraries. Is there
some kind of install log I can send you to?
