I just did run a "apt autoremove" without being careful enough and can't
boot anylonger. After rebooting it just prints:
gave up waiting for suspend/resume device.

the Gnome Live image to report it as upstream bug. I think there was a
bug in gnome-screensaver. But now after installing 12.10 the bug
disappeared.

I can confirm the bug also with Firefox 4.0. It seems to me as if with
Firefox 4.0 the bug doesn't occur so often anymore, but it does for the

Sorry, I was wrong. There is just a strange behiviour but not a very
serious problem: If you change the connector in the output tab of
the ubunut sound preferences, the sound card is not working any more.
You can't hear anything anymore. But there is an easy way to repair it:
plug in the USB sound
Since 10.04 the sound card is not working any more: there is no sound at
all. In 9.10 it was still working. Is this problem related to this bug?
