i just figured out following about this crash:
if only evolution-plugins is installed, it crashes after checking the mailboxes
if evolution-plugins + evolution-mapi is installed, it does _not_ crash.
i do _not_ use any mapi/exchange boxes,...
so i'm not sure if its the same bug as reported
sorry, but the above lasted only for one start of evolution,
afterwards i had the same crash again.
uninstalled evolution-plugins... and it works again.
(evolution-mapi still installed)

shall i open a new bugreport for this?

seems to be related to following bug, because i disabled the evolution-plugins

this means: maybe the bug can be closed

it was just because

@Tony Mugan
interesting, i can repeat it,
by install/remove/... the evolution-plugins package.
if it is installed, evolution crashes on startup.
maybe it's the same issue on other plugins packages
i don't have the issue with the following packages,
which are installed and working:
a workaround which workes for me is to unistall the evolution-plugins

how can i go back to version 2.6.24-28.73?
this version is not listed in aptitude
i can't find this kernel in /boot
the older version 2.6.24-27 does not boot domU:

really annoying to have table boxes in a plain text reply.
it's nearly impossible to do inline replys.
so, sebastian, i don't get the point why this should be useful in plain text
mode.
this is a bug, not a feature. and this is not windows, we like to work with
real text.

maybe an option (menu) to create the folders.db from scratch would help.
or this could be offered if evolution comes up with this error message.
for me, this bug could have been caused by an update which did something with

or a poblem
evolution does not crash anymore.
maybe because i moved/deleted some mails per webmail (squirrelmail)
i still have the issue with the database disk image is malformed
maybe the problem is related to a special email in the box, because i
have that only on two of the imap folders. actually the
i just found a workaround which caused my evolution to rebuild all the message

because the initial bug report says 32 bit and Global Addressbook i'm not
sure if it is the same bug. because its happening with all of my local

also it seems the error message has changed inbetween. looks like the
developers are not interested in solving this bug. but
still not resolved?

i get this error even when evolution tries to load local addressbooks.
sometimes it loads the addressbook but mostly not.
so maybe that is not really the same bug as posted in the bugzilla link above
