I believe this issue can be resolved by choosing to "Always display an icon"
in System -> Preferences -> Power Managerment -> General (tab)

* Go to *System-->Preferences-->Sound*-->*Input* tab. Ensure that the
*mute*checkbox is unchecked for Input volume.
* The Indicator applet goes missing sometimes from the panel applet. A
simple Logout-->Login should resolve the issue.

Windows. GNOME-Sound Recorder is working, what I mean is I could not record
voice, which is very much important for my profession. And also in top panel
battery status applet is missing. Please let me know
