Morning All, I have reinstalled completely from scratch. The same problem with /build/buildd/linux-rt-2.6.28/arch/x86/kernel/signal_32.c still exists. This is probably why the system was unable to recover earlier. Please note that initial reference from yesterday to dpkg was a red herring. Ubun
