Yes - it's the first time I tried it with jack. I'm going to stick with the default for now, as suggested by Mike Holstein, and try to make it work with PulseAudio. If I uncheck the "Enable D-Bus interface" I get a different error: JACK server starting in realtime mode with priority 10 audio_rese

I use all of my Linux, also Ubuntu Studio, neither with jackdbus, nor with pulseaudio. I strongly recommend to remove the package pulseaudio and to use jackd instead of jackdbus.
