If manually restarting hid_multitouch works (ex: su -c "rmmod hid_multitouch;
modprobe hid_multitouch;")
try this:
su -c "echo "SUSPEND_MODULES="hid_multitouch"" >> /etc/pm/config.d/modules "
This fixed it for me on elementary OS

ok intel graphics user doesn't have this problem so it seems it is
potentially occurs with nvidia graphic cards. (both with nouveau and
nvidia proprietary drivers). Added those packages to the issue.

Fujitsu Lifebook 1610 has touch screen.
Installed Xenial. From the first boot Xorg logs show touch screen is detected.
But somehow it is not enabled.
(I haven't tested any other operating system on this computer)

2) restart the computer
3) the brightness controls doesn't work.
Current workaround:
using xbacklight and creating custom toolbar buttons and
@kgunn72, this has been requested by the first users that received a
fresh frieza

random crash ever couple of hours. Sometimes the system is unresponsive
(keyboard, mouse), but ssh login is possible. Last frezze was only
partial. It was possible to change to the virtual console Ctrl+Alt+F1
and after a while the desktop worked again.
