I'm having a similar issue. I found that switching to a virtual terminal
and back again fixes the missing text in my case (Ctrl+Alt+F1 then
Ctrl+Alt+F7).

than usual pixels so the default resolution 3840x2160 (15.6", Dell

Yesterday I've installed Ubuntu as a dual boot OS alongside Windows,
it's working properly indeed but at startup of Ubuntu and also on
shutting down the system, everytime I get this error line and altough it
has no impact on system yet but it can start to have it anytime

Applied against Debian 11.1.3-1. 3-D acceleration at depth=24 works.
Power consumption running foobillardplus is very high. Colors at the
Cairo Dock are looking pastel shaded.

Machine used is a PowerMac G5 7,3 with an AGP Radeon 9600 Pro (Mac
edition). Running Compton composting manager (Ubuntu MATE 16.04) and it
runs without glitches so far, colours look good. Only thing I noticed is

I've attached the Piglit result of the sanity check to this issue, GNOME
Shell also has a discolouration (the title bar and activity screen is

EDIT : I just found that letting the screen be turned off when not
logged at all (when I boot the computer and don't log in for example)
causes no problem. The screen goes black and can be woken up by moving
the mouse or by hitting a key. The problem only appear when logged in,
whatever the user.
