I have an external monitor attached to my Lenovo X200s through a docking

I also do not observe any correlation between the time the lid is closed
and occurrence of the bug. What I find suspicious is that most users
experiencing the bug are using a Thinkpad of the X series (X200, X200s,
X220), in my case it's a Lenovo x200s.

I don't think it's exclusive to Thinkpads but it seems to appear most
frequently there. E.g. in this askubuntu thread we also have mostly
