I have numerous charts in my spreadsheets in which the x-axis scale type needs
to be Date. However, if I change the chart's range, the type automatically
changes to Text. How can I prevent LO from doing this?

Can someone please explain to me how I change LO's insistence on capitalizing
words following a period, even if I don't want it? (i.e., "Yest. evening" is

After upgrading LibreOffice from 3.6.7.2 to 4.0.5, I got strange appearances in
the charts of a spreadsheet file I've had since the start of this year (see
attachments, if they're allowed). In three of the four charts, the numbers of
one or both axes are unexpectedly inclined about 30 degrees;
