I've installed ovirt node (fresh 4.4) and am trying to deploy engine and it
fails each time. seems to be in a loop. I seen this in RHV 4.3 and it was due
to IPV6 being enabled. Any help us appreciated.

I am also struggling with this as I try to install a self-hosted engine. I
have read every thread in the forum and tried all the suggestions.
Here is my most recent attempt (RHEL 8.5, installing oVirt 4.4):
Start the hosted engine deployment, then run the command [ # dnf downgrade

I have this exact same problem. The engine IP and name resolves correctly.

It is the correct URL to localhost as it is just making sure the engine
health is up, it uses localhost as the playbook delegate to the engine VM
so it is localhost.
He received a status code of 500 back, which means he was hit by the
postgresql-jdbc bug and should downgrade.

It shouldn't resolve the localhost.Check the engine's FQDN resolves properly
(A/ records) and the IP resolves properly to the FQDN of the engine (PTR
record).
