used the following command to start jetty with proxy options:
java -jar start.jar -Dhttp.proxyHost=my.proxy.ip.addr
-Dhttp.proxyPort=proxy_port
-Dhttps.proxyHost=my.proxy.ip.addr -Dhttps.proxyPort=proxy_port --exec
