Hauppauge MediaMVP and vdr-vompserver plugin. Years of happy use and good waf. No vdr osd so no access to plugins but I can access them with vdr-xine on my server. Sadly standard definition only. I have yet to see an equivalent HD mediaplayer that can be as readily hacked like the MediaMVP

The sat channel TVE1 on 19e changed transponder a few days ago. I have a timer recording something on Thursdays. So yesterday vdr would crash within 3 seconds of starting (once the recording was to be on) I had to edit timers.conf to disable the timer event and then and only then edit the channel
