I have to agree with Richard. Also, no iDevice that I know of does not
have a rear facing camera. My iPod 4g also had one. I really really
hope they release a new iPod later this month, but I have some serious
doubts about this. The main one being that there has not been any
rumors of such a produc
What makes you think that?
The iPod Touch 5th generation has a rear facing camera and does a good job with
OCR.
I can't imagine Apple would take that away.

I do not believe that the new iPod touch will have a rear facing camera.this
can be a determining factor if the user plans to use it for OCR purposes.

I'd wait and see if they come out with a new iPod Touch later this month.
The 5th generation touches are very nice, but if they come out with one with
the 64 bit processer, you will be better off waiting.

Some of us are hoping that Apple will announce a new iPod later this
month, so if you can wait until then to see if it happens, you may be
better off. I will tell you that even with the iPod 5g, which I
currently have, the latest iOS runs a bit slow.
