For what it is worth, I have been using a 2nd generation iPod for just on 18
months now.
It was originally purchased to take the place of a cd player we were using
to play background music in our bed and breakfast property.
We were finding that a standard cd player was not up to running

Could you elaborate on the clunky aspects of your unit? Compared to what,
