Hi everyone,

We hope you’re ready for this three-day event, because the event starts in
less than 2 hours!

The hackathon will take place over the weekend (Friday through Sunday),
with time for sessions, social events, and hacking:

16:00–17:00 UTC August 12: Opening ceremony and pre-hacking project showcase

17:00–22:00 UTC August 12: Hacking and sessions

12:00–17:00 UTC August 13: Hacking and sessions

15:55–16:45 UTC August 14: Final Showcase

When will the event start?

The opening ceremony will happen at 16:00 UTC today. Find the link on the
schedule <https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/Hackathon/Schedule>!

How can I join a session?

Due to platform access issues with Pheedloop, we’ve decided to give direct
access to the Hackathon Jitsi rooms. The links can now be found on the
schedule page <https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/Hackathon/Schedule>.
There will be a Technical Sessions room as well as an Open Hacking and
Social Sessions room.

How can I work on a project?

If you have an idea, you will be able to add your own projects on
Phabricator <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/view/6030/>. If you
don’t know yet what to work on, see what projects others will be working
on. You might find a project to join or get inspiration for your own idea!

If you have any other questions, please leave a comment on the talk page or
on Telegram/IRC.

See you soon!
