yeah i agree..Also, World 2 World will likely get repressed, i
imagine. All time classic to me, to me it doesn't sound dated, it
just sounds UR. hard to explain. UR has a way of doing represses
over time, they are usually of the philosophy that good music (that is
also selling pretty well, 5-10 years later! how many other records
are? ;) should stay in print.

re: Amazon - still like it, it's an odd duck though.. i could see the
love it or hate it rule applying here. While i thought it was cool
that 4Hero reworked it, i was disappointed they didn't do MORE with it.
I mean, how do you approach a piece like that, is has to be tough,
it's kind of a weird track on it's own.But I remember thinking i
wish they would have deconstructed it a bit or something. Well
whatever, remixes are s subjective anyway.

I've heard a remix of Blue Monday by Richie Hawtin before,
but I'm not totally sure if it was done under the Plastikman
alias. I wasn't totally blown away by it, to be honest, but
it's a while since I last gave it a listen (it's at home on
my hard drive...)

I'm curious where and when this set was recorded -- I remember several of these
cuts from his Minneapolis appearance this summer.

We humans aren't perfect but everyone on this list goes up to make it
what it is and while we'll all never agree on every single issue - no
one can accuse us of not caring. I do look forward to reading it
every single day. I always take people as I find them and while I do
have to spend some of my time listening to rumours, I always choose
to ignore them and make up my own mind or I'll ask the individual
outright.

I've already started saving for DEMF 2005, I want to meet the people
here, share a beer, some food and some rather dodgy dance movies. So
rather than spend our energy on shouting each other down and checking
out who's got the biggest, why don't we organise a party for us all
to meet, play and eat in 2005? We have enough time to make it happen
and we have the people. I have some resources that I'm happy to share
- what do you all say?

Cheers
Martin

I completely agree. I'm definitely going next year. I had an amazing
time this year. It was really great to see so many people up for this
kind of music and totally have a great time. It was a very different
contrast to Miami. People up there are always representing Detroit (hats
, t-shirts , etc). I love Miami, but its very different. I hope to drag
up some more people from Florida to the 'D' next year.
