Speaking of Moodymann appearances wtf is up with this big track Doin Ya Thing which is basically a beat, some crowd noises and a recording of Kenny on the mic in Manchester? Seems pretty dodgy to me but I haven't heard any reactions from the Mahogani camp. I've even heard Norm Talley playing it so maybe it's got the tacit seal of approval? Yeah, Delano plays it too all the time. I'm not sure if KDJ knows or not but P and Destini didn't appreciate it much and said they'd talk to him about it when i had them hear it. The worst part about that track is that I don't think KDJ is credit anywhere on it and he makes the record. It's pretty mediocre without his voice. I don't mean the track, I meant the pad sound, like the individual melodic element that is a theme throughout the track. It's got a cloudy ethereal feel but very measured and slightly clinical.
