Hoping the Mr. Fingers remix is made available in full as on the LP it is
only a 90 sec clip.

That Dua Lipa remix album was curated by The Bl* Madonna. and also
includes a Mr. Fingers remix.

The Blessed Madonna remix of Levitating is good, to my ears. If you listen
to the original you can hear how she stripped away layers of studio gloss,
and then added in a great Moog bassline and spiky synth ostinato.

Aside from the Moodymann, Mr. Fingers, & Blessed Madonna remixes there's
not much there that speaks to me.

surprise Moodymann rx

2020-08-28 Thread Andrew Duke
This morning something was playing on my partner's cell that sure sounded
like Moodymann (not an artist I hear in the apartment unless I am playing).
Asked and was shown the album playing: yes, indeed, he has remixed Dua
Lipa. It is on her new release and whereas the other songs are very short
and abruptly segued, Moody's remix of "Break My Heart" is last and gets to
stretch out at 6min11secs so likely the full rx and not an edit. While he
has certainly remixed a few other vocalists since Norma Jean Bell and Jose
James, this one is likely going to end up reaching the most ears since his
official 2012 remix of that Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die".
