According to Claude's reply on Instagram, the article is crap. He's stepping away from DJing and it sounds like he's focusing on composing new music without regard to genre. It's hard to overstate his reputation, especially in Japan and Europe. He's got nothing left to prove, but I expect new surprises from him! Hats off to Claude, as always, for staying true to himself and sticking with his instincts. Sad to see him go, but so lucky to see him work magic on those decks. Claude Young announced he's done DJing and he's stopped posting to social media. https://ra.co/news/79327 The article says he intends to continue making music but I'm curious what form that will take. I am forever in his debt for the DJ sets I've had the privilege to see live, the fantastic records he's made, and also for the kindness he's shown to me personally. If anyone knows him well enough to communicate with him, maybe pass along some love from me (and I assume, most 313 list subscribers).
