Re: (313) Every Dog 4
definition of d is one of his best works beside remainings on Drumcode, and bangers are boring and hard for brain that bangers. They live short life on scene Mull is coming back with some new materials as i heard, but im asking are we going to hear some lekebusch stuff, i dont think so... so banging leeds to suffering, and suffering leads to dark side... b. Yes, those records on Svek he did are really good. 5 out of 5! I heard Mike Grant playing the definition of D on the DEMF 2000 (I wasn´t there, but saw the realvideo on groovetech).

Re: (313) Recloose - Ain't Changin'
Hats off to Recloose. I dropped this track Saturday night in Windsor for the 1st time and everyone loved it - maybe not as much as I did however. played also on saturday, craig`s remix of ain changin, and was suprised that people can really enjoy this tune as much as i can... one of my favourits this year.. b.

RE: [313] A heads-up for anyone who owns the Basic Channel CDs
Dont know, my just snaped one day in two pieces, and it just happend when i heard that there is a problem witht hat metal cases, and that is the main reason why they switched to recycled paper. A i didnt make a copy, and now i dont have bc cd any more, and now i said it and my eyes are full of tears... B. Strange.. my copy on cd suddenly stopped working one day. Luckily i made a copy for my then g-friend and stole it back after we broke up ;) Same thing happened with my Ricardo Villalobos mix cd, which is not in a metal case. Wouldn't surprise me if basic channel rigged the cd, inside the case it says Buy Vinyl. -Pete - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [313] Black techno artists
With no disrespect intended (I really love your music and your contributions to the list), I think a lot of Europeans have trouble relating to racial problems in the US this is so offtopic again, but im asking my self how we europeans cant understand a racial problem in us, and again everything we do (in smaller countreys) is so not democratic and we always live on some teritory of economic sanctions, but we have to understand a rical problem in US. im confused i have a very big respect for black artist, and realy i dont have any problems with black or white. but i dont have any need to understand problems in US, at the same time that somebody from US have no need to understand problems that we have, or we had and lets take that off this list... music learnd me to be tolerant b. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [313] The Reese bass
Lets face it folks. everything musically comes from Detroit! yes, in one way, but one record spun on 45 dosent mean that all other producers and dj-s didnt do nothing with d`n`b only grooverider and carl craig.. big respect to two of them on my last set i played jermaine jackson with pia zadora together with user does that mean that jackson made everything in techno think twice then come with your sh b. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Weird, considering that Hardcore, which was the the foundation that jungle/dnb developed from, i would say that breakbeat and hip hop made bigger foundation for d`n`b .. liquid, sl2, prodigy and it is early 90` b. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If you care that much, read some old Simon Reynold's articles. Really, the Reese bassline comes from KMS. Acid House+Detroit+Hip-Hop+England in 1990=Hardcore Harcore+1993=Jungle lets take a minute of break, and tell me what you connsider hardcore, beacuse if its altern 8, acen, and early 90 in england, i dont know what im talking about, for me it is only one hardcore dutch gabba sperminators, thunderdomes, gizmos, hellraisers and tons of other... b. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: [313] Some cds I ordered, what next (+track ID).
Whereas Maurizio, Vainqueur don't sound experimental. They don't sound like intelligent techno. They don't resemble Aphex Twin. maybe because its not intelligent techno, but we can talk also about how intelligent richard is.

Re: [313] Some cds I ordered, what next (+track ID).
Oh yeah, what a great idea - by the way, is it me or does Moby owe his success to the black artists he sampled ? and another question : could someone give me the real name of the guys behind Drexciya ? are they the ones behind Ultradyne ? Gwendal i dont see here connection between moby and i dont know what is your problem, i just wanted to say, that you can compare maurizio (maurizio as m series)with aphex twin , and you can always put aphex to intelligent(come to daddy or richard james album). on this two examples there is moments but they are not even close to i care because you do, selected ambient works, polygon window is it clearer or you need more . b.
Re: [313] BC 09/suggestions
Point taken. As I mentioned in the original message I was unclear about the connection between Chain Reaction and the various Ernestus / Von Oswald projects due to the large amount of apparently incorrect information available. My thanks to everyone that has corrected me. But if we're going to be really nitpicky about this, isn't Domina M3 (having been preceded by Ploy and Lyot and followed by M4)? Also, wasn't it a 1993 release? :-) i think this is too long ,there is no point to dig something that is long time a go clear or unclear to all of us. thank you b.
Re: [313] BC 09/suggestions
The Maurizio CD that contains most of the M-series is often listed as being part of the Chain Reaction label discography. yes and one of the tracks that are on m series cd is on main street also(MSR06) but it doesnt mean that all series are on main street. and that is all another story. b.
Re: [313] BC 09/suggestions
The 'M' series on Chain Reaction / M is definitely worth investigating (M4 is a particular favorite). i would not bet that M is on chain reaction, its not. for BCP compilation look for metal box on cdnow or amazon, also look for maurizio you will find m series. you can find there lots on chain reaction, something from rhytmsound, main street. also look for farben aka jan jelinek im not sure you can find tat on cdnow or amazon. look for herbert. if you like sound like that you want dan bell`s button down mind on tresor.(142) that is about that. for web site check out circonium. b.
track id
i cant remember track name video is full of robot dummis in one room that are turning their heads and arms in they are half coverd with som sheets. s*** i dont know. i tink its mid 80` song something like disco-electro-pop. its tearing my head all morning, im about to go mad. thank you b.
radio station
this is my case, im imto opening my radio station, and at start and need some info about prices of equipment. studio equipment is not problem, but equipment for transmition is problem. i found on net tons of sites that describes how to power up pirate station wit info on making small transmitters and buying them in kit. i dont need that, i need real stuff, becuse this is going to be legal thing, and transmitter is have to be art of tech. some sites could be of big help. free radio berkley is not. sorry for little non topic stuff. b.
Re: [313] Why Can't Synth Pop Adapt?
i checked those tracks out couple of days ago - i want to hear full tracks before saying it's crap or it's excellent or whatever. but those examples weren't really what i expected - tracks were quite typical DM. not much of things from which one could say that Bell has had his hands on the stuff. there is answer for the question , why synth pop didnt evolve. i was into PSB so , but by the time i just realise that its all the same, every album that got out it was just better because the equipment was newer. but proudiction was same. and im not sure that those guys have any pontential in them, its over for them, but they still putting albms out, and destroying good things about them. another example, modern talking in germany, it was huge, then they disappeared now with same songs, they are back again and they are huge again. and people are just happy, they like that kind of easy music, ohh yes another one Bad Boys Blue and its better that they havenat adapt and become trance because i hate trance, and if PSB become trence i would have to hate myself. :-) b.
Re: [313] K.Hand and MotorDetroit.com
i remeber one compilation, im not sure wat label, but it was named from detrot to berlin and back i think its just way that music goes. it looks to me that Tresor just can't live with out having a detroit artist release an album on thier label for more then a year. or maybe it is just that detroit has it the best. either way... JEFF!
Re: [313] K.Hand and MotorDetroit.com
sorry i was thinking about connection between detroit and berlin. good music from detroit to berlin, or from berlin to detriot. also remember godfathers from detroit via satellite which was also released on a german label lol,,,we germans really look up to the detroiters,,,because many of us appreciate good music.. ron
vinyl pressing technology
i have visited some sites( not that i`ve study them) but i need some kind of book or something where i can read about technology of pressing and mastering. so if you have some names of books or anything i will be greatly thankful. bye. b.
jazz, techno,house
in past week i was going thru old messages on the list and found some posts about jazz and techo and house. few posts was techno is not into jazz, some were oposite, and i can make judgement about is it or not. it was fuuny that i was listening Lalo Schifrin in concert and in his Fox theme found some parts of St. Germains Soul Salsa Soul. i kinda want to sell this record now:( , first thing that impressed in techh music was innovations, not some boring guitar themes and craying about beatles and rolling stones. also i got Le mighty bop greatest hits and that is jazz, but there is another tpic thhat is interesting to me. its more downtempo rhyhtms, hip hop like. where do you see hip hop and other like styles in electronic music, if say electronic music is music that is made with electronic instruments(drum machines in first place). and we now tat hip hop rhythms wasnt made with acoustic drums. today . thnx. b.

Re: [313] bc stuff
I believe Basic Channel use the Waldorf Wavesynth...(very nice...and very expensive) and Doepfer sequencers (german modular type stuff)..oh..and obviously the TR909this info is at least 2 or 3 years old though... if pole is anything like bcp i know from one interwiev wit him that he use some kind of broken filter also named pole or something like that.
