That's a mighty fine mix. Thank you sir, may we have another? Acid always has me doing silly dances in my chair, so it's probably a good thing I work from home. Placid wrote: New mix for your earses -- Groet, Erik == http://opnemer.org http://www.myspace.com/medmudmusic ==

Re: (313) CC '/ableton
Can't say i've run into this problem with Live 4.1 running on Mac OS X yet. However, i've had a few sporadic crashes that never seem to occur at a convinient time. Part of that may have been due to running Ableton on an old G3 system (way under powered) but i've since moved to a snappy new G4. I did find a bug with the sample browser in Live that might have been fixed. If you browse to a network share in Live, close Live, disconnect from the network and open Live again... it would hang at the Live logo and never load. Glad I found that one before it was too late. :| Erik Cronin [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Martin Dust [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: At 04:07 PM 3/14/2005, Martin Dust wrote: sure it's still an issue with 4.1.1 (rather than just 4.1)? Don't fancy getting caught out again by it, going to stick with 4.0.4 for now. The Live techies still haven't got back to us yet, so we may just wait until then - as the old adage says, if it aint broke...

Re: (313) New Music and Elitism - Was Re: test
And as others have pointed out, many online record stores offer to send lists like this straight to your email account. Hardwax, Hedonizm, Clone, Rush Hour among others regularly put out new release lists with a substantial 313 portion in it. Nice to see the record shop just across the road from my front door getting a mention! Hedonizm that is. Didn't know they had a world-wide presence... :) Erik

Is this sort of stuff not considered 313? I get the impression it's looked down upon by a lot of people. Although Adam Beyer is far from consistently good, some of his earlier stuff are techno classics in my book. Especially the Decoded LP from 6-7 years back. Erik

(313) Future Sound compilation on Rephlex
I've got a CD compilation called The Best of Future Sound Records which came out on Rephlex in 94 on which the tracklisting seems to be wrong. There are 9 tracks on the disc but only 8 are listed on the cover. Track 4 is a really nice old-school Detroit type track and I'm trying to find out what it really is. The cover says Terry Baldwin Delta House but that's clearly wrong as that's the track after. Anyone have this who knows? Thanks.

Re: (313) 100 BEST DJ IN THE WORLD....
Hi everyone Just joined the list, seems like a good source of info... so in that respect, is trance the biggest its been? This seems weird as I really thought trance had had its day. I mean it was massive in 1999-2000 at least in the UK but now, it doesn't seem that big at all. And whoever mentioned Vitalic, his EP is excellent techno IMO. Not to be lumped in with the likes of Fischerspooner under the electroclash tag... Erik

- Original Message - From: Robertson, Steven [EMAIL PROTECTED] It's got a magnificient chaotic noise. First time I heard it played by Richie Hawtin and it really sounded something special. A sort of discordant noise that seemed pretty unique to me. Agreed. It's one of my absolute favourite records of the last year or so. I think La Rock 01 has to be the best track though. It's got everything, that noise, melody, energy and that little vocoder voice... Erik
Re: [313] OT: Is Goblin any good?
I've got a Goblin compilation with moviemusic to a lot of Dario Argento movies (Suspiria, Via de la Droga etc). It's SUPER Interresting that other fans of Detroit-Techno have noticed this underrated ROCK group. But they got FUNK use a lot of old analogue synths (or so I think). Peace from Erik - Original Message - From: Minto George [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thursday, March 8, 2001 10:06 am Subject: [313] OT: Is Goblin any good? Yeah, you want the Zombi (Dawn Of The Dead) soundtrack from Goblin. It's BIG, gothic Italian prog is what it is. The re-release vinyl (came out early last year) comes gate-folded and w/ a poster. Cool, too, is the 4 CD Vols. of Soundtracks out on DRG... loads of their film-works, out-takes, alt. versions, etc. I got the soundtrack for Tenebre by Claudio Simonetti of Goblin and is great! The theme is like a total italo disco track with a killer bassline and increidble drums with some guitars. There is also 808 madness on this one too. minto __ Do You Yahoo!?
