belt driven decks,no efxs,909? yes please
I use a crappy belt drive SL-B350, a nanoverb, and a 707 to do some DE9 style mixes. They of course only last the length of one song cause I only have one table. heh heh. Anyone ever tried it, you can get some pumpin shit going, seriously!! Dev __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Re: (313) live PAs Live PAs :)
Ha HAH HAH!! LOL, I hate it when people don't get what a live PA is. I saw Stewart Walker play his live minimal 4/4 tech and some girl came up to me and said "Can he play some jungle??" Yeah, and seeing people treat thousand dollar gear like something to rest on is s agitating. This guy started resting both hands on a JP-8000 and nearly flipped it right off it's stand! Re: (313) Yellow Magic Orchestra
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Andrew Duke) for the YMO fans out there: which releases from this band (vinyl LPs and 12"s, not interested in cds) are considered essential; looking to beef up my YMO collection here, but money's tight so would like some opinions before i buy more. thanks. andrew duke :) Hey, I'm not interested in any more YMO CD's either, and I'd like any YMO vinyl I could get my hands on (of course I have NO money right now either) But anyway, essential? Well, so many of their songs were unique. Hmm, Service and BGM are so-so, only %60 good stuff each I guess. (BGM is really out their, pretty experimental for YMO) But, uh, Solid State Survivor is a total classic, lots of essential tracks on that one. Do you have a source for some of this vinyl? If I could come across the single for Rydeen that would be awesome, that song must have blown people away back then. The ending when the drums stop but the chords keep going still makes the hairs on my neck stand every now and then = ) Devon __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Re: (313):SH-101
I think grey is the most common. Then blue, then red. Someone actually mentioned a while ago that the first batch of 101's were all grey. Then later Roland wanted to spark more interest in them and so they re-released them or something in blue and red, but they had lower quality components, just a rumor I think. I'll tell ya one thing I know for sure, red and blue look cooler = ) good luck on yr info hunt Devon __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
