Glad you like them. These are samples I've been collecting for years. A lot
are off a few really old sample cds (Not dance mega drums), and there's also
a lot I've come accross on the net. Many of which weren't edited very well,
so I've run them all through Batch Convertor to remove any unwanted space at
the start and end.

 Awesome sample collection man.
Im downloading the machines I don't already have now.
Question though - did you record any of these samples or is this just a
collection you have gathered over time?

 Thanks,
 ML

 Greetings all.

I just joined this list a couple of days ago in the hope that I can
revive
my interest in Detroit Techno. I've always loved that electronic Detroit
sound, but over the past few years I've not been buying much music at all.
Mainly due to a lack of money and not knowing what to look out for.

Anyway, I was wondering if there were many artists out there with mp3s
to
share? I used to visit mp3.com every so often where they had a Detroit
section, and some of the music was really quite good.

Also, I've got an album from a number of years ago by the Detroit
Escalator Company. Does anyone know if they're still going? That's one of
my
favourite all time albums. Really nice music.

One other thing, if there are any artists or producers out there looking
for drum machine samples from the 80s and 90s, I've got all the samples
from
45 drum machines on my website www.avene.org All free to download.

   Regards,

 Glenn

It's funny, I actually own that Mattel drum computer! It's called Synsonics
Drums. I had the Intellivision games console, and bought that drum thing
because it was by Mattel Electronics also, and I was big into breakdancing
and electro back then (1985). And that's the one machine I forgot to include
on my website! I'll have to delete one of the ones already up there and
sample that one day. But it's in storage somewhere at the moment.

What else is on the Dance Mega drums CD Rom?

Just wondering, but that list of drum machines samples looks a lot like
the sample from this Akai sample CD i got called Dance Mega Drums,
which has an almost endless collection of drumcomputers on it, ranging
from the X0X series to the Mattel drumcomputer (yes the people who made
Barbie Ken also created a drumcomputer :))
