Re: [313] DJ Magda
Interesting. I find her to be an extremely average dj. She's not horrible, she's just_not_above_average. So, the only logical conclusion i can come up with, is that her looks play a role. I'm sorry, but i would expect FAR more from detroit's next big thing. Plaslaiko can wipe his ass with magda's skills, and is YEARS ahead of her talent wise. So why magda? I'm posing a question. Sorry if its not about the latest axis or basic channel. I'm getting a kick out of reading this thread. If I didn't know any better, I'd think that you were talking about Chicago about a year ago. Just replace Magda and Plaslaiko with Colette and Justin Long;-) BTW, Heather beats it harder than any female and 95% of the male jocks. Thompson [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 313@hyperreal.org Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2001 4:19 PM Subject: Re: [313] Big Fun in OLD NAVY?? Someone else brought this up to me offlist... Big Fun was a major club hit, did very well on the club charts and also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, although I can't recall where it peaked at... I don't remember if it broke into the Top 40 or not. Big Fun received anywhere from moderate to heavy airplay in the major (Top 20) radio markets... outside of that, I believe it received little to no airplay at all in what would be considered the small mid-sized radio markets. The thought makes me shudder, because I happened to hear it on a trip into Chicago once in '88 (both major Top 40 stations had it in heavy rotation at the time), and that's the song I give credit for hooking me into house and techno. Like a couple of others, I've noticed! LOL

Johnny Fiasco remixes of Conduction on Tonic Records. On the original pressing you will find your usual remixes on one side. But on the other side, containing the original version, you will find two hip hop songs. So far I have met two people who were convinced that Conduction was originally a hip hop song.
