Hi!

Nice. I'm really into hearing that for real. I still play the original track
quite a bit. When is it coming out?

Clone will be releasing remixes from Adult's Hand to Phone. Carl Craig did
some of the remixes and i heard some DJ's play it here in Holland.
Brilliant
mix again from C2, as usual :)

  ADULT. Misinterpreted 12 (EZ-016)
A special remix 12 that comes with a concept based on a
  popular children's
game that has many different names depending on your region.
  The Telephone
Game, Telephone Operator, Chinese Whispers, it doesn't
  matter what name
you had for the game as a kid, the concept is the same. A
  group of children
sit in a circle. A child whispers a sentence to the
  individual sitting next
them, and this sentence is repeatedly whispered around the
  circle until the
last child hears the sentence. At which time, the last and
  first children
say there sentence out loud, and inevitably, the sentence has changed
dramatically from the original. Ersatz Audio has adapted this
  idea to their
  next release.

Re: [313] 313 stand on....

2001-05-07 Thread Majesty12

I've been wondering for a long while what you peepz think of the stuff
made
by guys like Justin Berkovi, Neil Landstrumm, Tobias Schmidt, Subhead,
Dave
 Tarrida and the likes...
Love it, Tobias is one of my favorites for quite some time. Was just playing
his French Revolution Part I on Scandinavia from 99'. He sings over some of
the tracks, great stuff say it again, I haven't heard it enough, if you
pick a rose, there's a thorn in that's tough I heard he sings during his
live PA's too_JS

Hi, for those in the Boston area I'll be playing a set on Disc Error (90.3
wzbc) tonight at about 11:00. I believe there is a web cast at wzbc.org as
well. Probably throw down mostly techno with a healthy dose of electro,

Heh, Yes, I'll second that, metro area 3 is a really original sounding
nice, nice record. And this is coming from a devil worshiping techno head,
buy it if you don't have it. I'm just glad someone I respect recommended it
a few months back, Thanks Nick ;) _J.S.

I don't know what Morgan Geist is like as a DJ, but last week I bought
'Metro Area 3' on Environ, and the a-side of that EP is just totally
heavenly.
It has just totally blown me away from the very first moment I heard it.
It's so utterly beautiful is seems even pointless trying to describe it...
 He has my vote :-)

 Hello folks!

Can anybody give me a comment about Morgan Geist as a DJ?
What kind of stuff does he spin?
Does he play more house or the technoid stuff?

 Thanx in advance..

Re: [313] jet set?

2001-03-29 Thread majesty12
yeah, i heard it. didn't really do anything for me, especially after the
string of amazing releases he's put out recently (metropolis, every dog).
it's good though, the one track one it's own side particularly stood out.

maybe i just missed it, but i don't recall reading any mention of mills'
latest edition to the purpose maker series. i like it. it's more
tech-housey than some of his other stuff, not quite as banging, and a
little bit slower. some nice bass lines, as is typcial with many of his
tracks. anyone else have any input?

Re: [313] NBA basketball commercial

2001-03-05 Thread majesty12
I haven't seen this commercial yet but the whole basketball thing reminds me
of one of the Mark Bell tracks on Dancer in the Dark, total basketball
sample, squeaky sneaks and dribbling balls all the way. I love the way he
uses the sneakers to create a melody.

btw, did anybody see the new NBA basketball commercial with a bunch of
players dribbling the ball rhythmically? i know this sounds kind of
stupid,
but the sound in that commercial wouldn't sound so out of place in a
 Plastikman set. seriously.
