This is one of my favorite Alton Miller release. My copy is nearly unplayable now... You should definitely hunt down his 12" on Planet E http://www.discogs.com/release/11351, another on Distance (can't recall the title right now - doesn't seem to be listed on Discogs, but I vaguely recall one of the songs was called "Stella's Groove" or something??? - that could be totally wrong. I'm fairly sure it has three tracks, one of which loops up the vocal from Dajae's 'Day by Day'), and 'Pressure Drop' on Fragile as Aphrodisiac is amazing. His latest release on Moods and Grooves was also rather nice, but not quite as dancefloor-useful http://www.discogs.com/release/43128, and I think he did one other M&G before that which has a track called 'Africa' or something. That one was farely nice, but not essential. Tristan === http://www.phonopsia.co.uk [EMAIL PROTECTED]

RE: (313) Derrick May Melbourne
Just to mention that he played fairly nice set here at Zuok in Singapore last Friday. Unfortunately he had some major technical problems with one of the decks, music stopped at one point after numerous noises coming from the system before that. After party finished (too soon - just after 3 AM) it seemed he had serious discussion with the sound engineer in dj booth. And it is me that criticized his loops style set some half year ago. This time it was muchos better. Hey peepz in Australia keep us updated. curious ! mislav -Original Message- From: Cyclone Wehner [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 9:05 PM To: 313 Detroit Subject: (313) Derrick May Melbourne Derrick May is playing an intimate gig at Honkytonks in Melbourne tomorrow night (Wednesday) so if you're in the vicinity y'all should come down! The support is Ben Cromack, who is an international star in the make and has an affinity with soulful techno and house. Honkytonks is definitely the most cutting edge club in Melbourne and has played host to the likes of Louie Vega. Entry is just $10 (no free list). Nooo, I'm not the promoter. Cheers CW

RE: (313) Is this not the coolest mix?
and than I read this from Tristan's report on Surgeon... Tristan: ... and then a UR track that has huge strings that reminds me of the beginning of Laurent Garnier's 'Dance to the Music'... ;-))
RE: (313) Is this not the coolest mix?
Cool mix indeed !!! Can anyone confirm if he is throwing in peace of L. Garnier's Club Traxx EP (Dance to the music) over mix of mad mike's The Final Frontier and Kraftwerk's Nummern ? around 13th minute ?
