I´m starting to wonder what are these "dj-tool" labels ? or artists ?
drumcode style ? there´s quite a lot that kind of sound around but that
ain´t the only style of new techno. check for example kanzleramt.
and speaking of tool techno, me thinks Mike Ink´s Studio 1 series were
extreme tools and I listen to them at home, a lot. well...

[313] one year later

2002-09-02 Thread Samu Eilola

Subject: Twin tower porn music: "I Like to Watch" on 9-11

The music from Chris Korda's infamous "I Like to Watch" video will
finally be released on vinyl, just in time for the one-year anniversary
of 9-11. The video combines 9-11 media coverage with professional
sports and hard-core pornography. More than 250,000 people have
downloaded the video since it first appeared on the Church of Euthanasia
web site, on December 11 of last year.

The EP will be released on Null Records in Berlin, and distributed by
Possible Music, also in Berlin. In addition to the original video mix,
the 12" will include house remixes by Chris Korda, Richard Bartz, and
Paul Davis, plus an industrial remix by Cannibal Whore Feast. The
sleeve will feature color images from the video, such as the WTC being
licked by a giant tongue.

Fans of the video have been waiting impatiently for vinyl, but finding a
label with the balls to release "I Like to Watch" was no easy task.
Several labels agreed to do it, and then changed their minds later,
wasting valuable time. Another label expressed interest, but insisted
on a plain black cover, which would have sent the wrong message, says
Korda: "I'm not ashamed of being sexually aroused by 9-11, I'm ashamed
of being American. People are saluting the flag and praying to Jesus
while we incinerate what's left of the earth, and I'm sick of it."

did anyone mention PSI Performer ?
"Art is a Division of Pain" was the title of this
dark moody ambientlike douplepack masterpice.
And the remixes on K20 are also worth checking.

The Other People Place that is.
me thinks is the best drexciya production so far.
moody deep "elektrohouse" or something like that.
most tracks have this very sad feel in them.
some repetative vocals, male and female voices.
 huippu levy !
