C-Span...Guilty until proven Innocent...
Did anyone catch C-Span yesterday (Saturday) in the early afternoon (eastern time) The FDA was having a large meeting on "Ecstasy and Club Drugs". They went into full detail of each of the most popular drugs of this time...and giving in depth info about all. Cat-scan slides were shown of normal and substance abused brains. The hypothesis of ecstasy relating to Parkinsons Disease was raised again. They then explained where ecstasy is most prevalent...which was detailed to be NYC, Boston, LA, Chicago, San Fran and Detroit. To my thoughts, I was suprised they didn't mention Miami. One question was raised "why do people take drugs"...the only 2 answers being 1) To Feel Good and 2) To Feel Better. Can all the reasons be summed up into two answers that directly relate to one another??? The presentation in itself was fairly good, I thought. When documentation explains 'substance abuse', I am quick to depict the understanding of that phrase. I am guessing that we all have a different interpretation of the word abuse, especially when it is accompanied by 'substance'. The presenter kept implying a person that "uses substances on a 'regular' basis". But regular can be once a year...twice a year... 10 times a year... 100 times a year. It's all in the eyes of the interpreter. Perhaps it's regular because there is some what of a pattern to it. Perhaps I am just thinking about it too much, but I think it's easier to prove something, then to prove something wrong. Guilty until proven innocent. ...just wondered about others thoughts if you watched it.

(I am from tha D)...I am aware of whats the happ at Twilo on Friday, (Deep Dish/Dave Seaman)...but is there anything else going on that anyone is aware of? Electronic Music Fest & WMC
Hello there... is there any new info on the projected artists that will be performing at the music fest??? any lineups posted??? is there a website for the viewing??? .another thought: i had the opportunity to venture to the WMC again this year... aside from the obvious Miami sunshine that was so perfect... did anyone hit a club down there that was amazing??? what club/lineup/night?? i'd like to see how the other parties were that i wasnt able to go to... were there any artists that just amazed u?? one night, i went to the club called space.. which was in miami..not in south beach...(a free shuttle bus, which ran 24 hours, took groups from south beach to the city, just specifically for this club)the club istelf was really aesthetic... and Nick Warren's set was phenominal the lineups were so fierce... as were the beats that filled the airwaves that week...
