The three DJs will perform their interpretations of Philip Glass' music as
featured on the new record Glasscuts, a compilation of remixes by young
producers/musicians that were originally sent unsolicited to Orange Mountain
Music. DJs will continue the evening with sets of their original music.

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs presented Woody McBride (DJ ESP) as
part of last year's inaugural DJ Series at Chicago SummerDance and welcomes him
back for the Glasscuts record release party. He is one of the country's
premier electronic DJs, producers and promoters, as well as an advocate for
chemical free and spiritually oriented artistry.

Chicago-based musician Kate Simko was trained in classical and jazz piano as
well as in electronic music production. Combining her musical training with
her love for underground music, Simko is continually exploring a dialogue
between the classical tradition and underground music. Performing beside
artists such as Michael Mayer, M83, Ulrich Schnauss, and Four Tet, she has had
the opportunity to share her music both in Chicago and abroad.

Marcos Romero (Madcos d Psycho) was classically trained in piano and guitar in
his homeland of Uruguay and moved into singing and producing for South American
hip hop groups. He is now based in the U.S. and creates experimental music
with techno, minimal and downtempo influences.

The evening is presented as part of the Department of Cultural Affairs' ohm
performance series that incorporates new media in the arenas of theater, music
and visual art. Admission is free. For more information, call 312-744-6630 or
