Thanks to everyone who turned out for the party on Saturday and especial thanks to Jonny McIntosh and Phonopsia, aka Tristan Watkins for their ace deep housey sets. We were treated to 2 hours of immaculately selected and confidently executed house from Detroit (mostly) and broken beat from Tristan, and 2 hours of at turns euphoric classic house and disco and at others, the deepest of deep house, from Jonny. Once the spirit took hold in that little room, it didn't really dissipate (imho) for the rest of the night. And that would be the only party in London in which some of the (to most folk) most obscure vintage disco (or even Prince songs Jonny! ;-) would get a huge roar from the floor, before the end of the second bar! That just illustrates what a knowing and appreciative crowd attends. If you're doing a house event and you think you've got some credibility and a bit of class, you need to book Jonny McIntosh, and you need to book Phonopsia too. Ken
