RE: (313) Cabaret Voltaire remixes?
Ok - not remixes but in a similar vein - Marshall Jefferson collaborated closely with 'The Cabs' on 'Laidback, Lowdown, Dirty' an LP of UK house gems, released 1989 (or maybe 1990). These were original productions though, inc. 'Keep On'. k -Original Message- From: Hans Veneman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, October 27, 2003 9:47 PM To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: (313) Cabaret Voltaire remixes? found essentially an entire collection of their records this weekend and I was wondering if any tracks by them have undergone the remix treatment by any Detroit artists - did Kevin Saunderson, for example, ever get a chance to touch their tracks? Derrick May remixed Keep On in the early nineties (as did Paul Oakenfold :) which wasn't really their best track imho. It would be interesting to hear remixes of some of their stuff, like Sensoria for instance, but on the other hand those tracks are fine as they are. found essentially an entire collection of their records this weekend and I was wondering if any tracks by them have undergone the remix treatment by any Detroit artists - did Kevin Saunderson, for example, ever get a chance to touch their tracks? also in the bag was 23 Skidoo, The Normal, and Morton Subotnick - so, yeah, I had a nice weekend.
