RE: (313) Dan Bell sample - Answer.
The 12 in question is by Jim Ingram. I believe the EP is called 'Vision to Vison', and has a pic of Jurgen Schrempf and Bob Eaton, the CEOs behind the Diamler-Chrysler merger on one side. I have one copy left at Melodies and Memories-- I believe its 9.99US. I have a 12 at home which has about 12 mins of the aforementioned Black Power monologue (including the quote I'm opposed to violence - violently opposed to violence!) with a lovely little funky guitar backing. Can't remember the name of it offhand but 'll dig it out tonight and post back. anybody know who the heck Dan Bell is sampling between the last two songs of his Globus 4 -- Button Down Mind -- Mix album? the quote: for those of you don't know much about me, i'm from Detroit, the Black Power capital of America. Some of y'all don't dig the term Black Power, well, let me put it this way, I'm from the city from which tan energy emanates -- Black Power. 'Course a lot of us, even in Detroit, got so hung up on Black that Power shot clean on past us.\ Thx in advance, -marc

Incredible track on an equally stunning EP. I think the sample is on the track Travelers or perhaps Roaming ? All in all this record is Shake in top form, essential.
