(313) Dutch Music

2005-07-20 Thread Cyclone Wehner
Can anyone think of any cruisy Dutch music at the moment?
I know an Australian label putting together a compilation and they want some
names.

Kid Sublime. anything coming out of Rush Hour. The first Benny Sings
album is pretty cruisy.

Alden Tyrell's latest on Clone is deadly.

Winter in Polarius on Creme is a v.cruisy release, though I dunno if Polarius
is dutch or not

Is this the next Petrol records release? I'd be pushing to get Random XS' Give
Your Body on there as well if it is - get the word out to the latte masses...

Nah, 'tis much much much better than the Petrol comps. But it has good
backing so any good artists out there e-mail me and I will forward.
I am merely helping a mate find some names. It has to be listening music.

I'm with Andrew. Just get 'em to license a whole bundle of Rush Hour
(and Rush Hour distributed) gear ;-)

Rednose Distrikt, Kid Sublime, Aardvarck, Meikbar, Jochem Petri (154,
Newworldaquarium, Newworldromantic)

Are Peel Seamus and Aroy Dee dutch? Not sure. They always seem to pop up
on the RH associated labels.

that amazing 12 on Rush Hour from a few years back, that had

phenomena: http://clone.nl/item4694.html

very very nice, ruff disco/house cut on the a,
flip side is moody KDJ/Theo*ish stuff. recommended.

oh, and just found out there's a mix-cd from 2004 with a nice
tracklisting (haven't heard it yet), including all four meikbar tracks
and couple more rushhour goodies (e.g. harry swinger's rage for the
105bpm lovers and aardvarck's spoken (nubian mindz remix 2)):

Various - Rush Hour Presents: Eyes Ears Edition

yeah they are...peel seamus is delsin head honcho and 313 list-member marsel
van der wielen and aroy dee is none other than the great MOS

i recommend all of their releases, perfect cruising and listening music:
peel seamus: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Peel+Seamus - i really like the
shifting gears release

aroy dee/ MOS: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Aroy+Dee and
http://www.discogs.com/artist/M%3EO%3ES
i would say aroy dee is more slow-mo house while MOS is more listening
electronics. i have all of his releases and i cant really single anyone
out.

i'm now going to put on all my delsin stuff
fab.

And more on a Italo tip, but nevertheless brilliant and definitely
