because I've finally found a place to play here in Minneapolis Saturday nights no less place is called the Speakeasy - music starts at 10pm and if the late night drinkin' laws pass - it will go until 2am (otherwise it's 1am) myself and a good friend are the DJs - mixing a very eclectic set of music (you'll be sure to hear something you like or have forgotten about - that includes Detroit music) no real dancefloor to speak of and the place is tiny - but very cool and friendly and they have live bands doing jazz, reggae and techy type broken beats - sometimes all in one set (like last night). plus, it's the only bar in Uptown that serves mixed drinks while not being directly inside a restaurant if anyone is coming through Minneapolis - send me an email and I can give you more details
