Having full clips is the realness and in celebration of said realness
and diskoB's willingness to keep it so, I give you my wholly unsolicited
prelim-picks. Anyone else got any?
The truth = super dope housey workout. This'd get dropped all day. Plus
it gets really layered towards the end. This is the equalizer. Meaning
everybody will dance to this no matter what. You have no choice.
The long way = ultra groove at it's best and one of the more techno
tracks on here to me. Really encompassing with a lot of space. I really
love this. How the harder kick drops in with the subtlest of buildups
and then that grating sound starts just as an accent.
Sickkk. The face melter.
Germs = boom boom! Here's that clangalang. I love to hear jay in this
mode. The drums remind me of that drummy track off the in sync album on
frictional only a little more restrained and without the filters. The
strings are exciting without being overdone too. Likey.
the world is a ghetto = dope downbeat (almost massive attacky beats
with more soul). Period. In the ipod and beamed into my brain
repeatedly to maintain atmosphere. Please.
electro static = really obvious name, but quality joint. I like where
it gets minimal and throbs on without the strings. It starts to get
deep. Shxt is bumping.
whispers = eeaasy now staaar.
Those are my picks from first reaction. The rest don't really do much
for me. I must say that I've been really NOT in the mood for many vocals
(especially breathy/phone-sexy ones) lately so that may have something
to do with it. I'm really excited to hear/own this on wax. If you're
reading, Nice one senor Denham. Thank you sir.
