Yep, it's definitely IO - 'Claire'

Wahey, thanks chaps! I knew it was something along those lines but my record
collection lives in another hemisphere so I couldn't check.

Absolutely huge tune it its day on my local radio station. Think it must
have also been on one of those Mo Wax Headz comps or Rebirth Of Cool or
sumpthing similar.

Funnily enough I've recently been getting right back into 4Hero-type drum
and bass of around the same period... A pinnacle for both Mo Wax and db in
my opinion.

Thanks again,
Andy

Well keep your eyes open for some of the Reinforced represses that are
about at the moment or keep your fingers crossed for a re-press of
Beyond Gravity on Reflective ( 4 Hero doing Detroit Techno at their
best)!

the track that kick in at the 14 minute mark is?

The IO one? (Patrick Pulsinger and Gerhard Tunakan (sp?))

It's on a cheap records double pack, and its either Claire or Sustain I
can never remember titles:

http://www.discogs.com/release/12023

and looking at those titles, I still can't remember. It's deffo on that
double pack tho.

And it samples an old brazilian track, which in my opinion is well worth
tracking down. Its on some Mr Bongo comp:

http://www.discogs.com/release/14853

Can't remember the title of that either. Have played it out a few times
too.

Now, who's for a mid-afternoon poke in the eye?
Answers on a postcard to the usual address please. I vote Tom Cox. (jnr).

Many Thank-you's.

my feeble memory is fading, but I THINK it's an io or a Statis, track,
wasn't it on this MoWax EX sublabel? I haven't heard it in 9 or 10
years, but wasn't it on one of these releases below?

http://e.discogs.com/release/58704
or
http://e.discogs.com/release/31604
or
http://e.discogs.com/release/12023

can anyone confirm or deny? For some reason I think I think Patrick
Pulsinger had a hand it it? that very subtle acid line at the end is
all him.. And/or it's on a Cheap record somewhere, maybe it was first
on the io Sustain/Release doublepack? which was a year or two before
the Mo' Wax release...

peace

unfair time zone advantage. you're all jacked about it being the end
of the day, i'm still peering over my coffee. in fact, what day is it?
and everyone knows sampling is illegal... nobody should ever do it.
