Canada's not the only english speaking liberal democracy with a progressive
government - there's also New Zealand. NZ banned US warships from their
ports two decades ago. i highly recommend the place. How did recloose like
living in NZ?
If anybody was wondering about Australia -like the US it's also run by a
big-spending radical right government. Bush refers to our prime minister as
his deputy.

With all the political passions being released on the list today I would
like to say that Stephen Burd actually called me to discuss the issues,
talk about Detroit a little and to say that like my beginning
statements, his statement was partially a joke as well.

We all have our own personal and political beliefs and a discussion
board is exactly a place to post them. But what I often find is that
some people say or do things that they wouldn't necessarily say in
person. I've had many debates,,(never political,,lol, mostly musical) on
other message boards but I've never had anyone to actually take the time
to contact me personally to clarify anything that may have been said on
the message board. Stephen did just that. And to me that is admirable.

With that said, I'm still interested in Canada,,,:) mainly because I was
interested before the election and even more so now.

I agree James, I went to NZ to visit a friend who has
moved there earlier this year - fantastic country. I
thought that Recloose was living there at the moment?
Im sure the last time I spoke to my friend he had been
to see him play the previous week in Wellington and
said it was a regular gig (monthly i think)

Cheers

U mean how *does* Recloose like living in NZ? He still lives there.

Chart from http://www.antipodeanrecords.net a while ago:

Recloose's Top 10 reasons to leave USA/Detroit and live in NZ

1. Being in love (ashux...)
2. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, neo-conservativism, new imperialism, the Patriot
Act, code orange, Fox News etc. etc. (no-brainer here...)
3. Good clean living in NZ except for the pies
4. Rugby is far superior a sport to American football
5. Being woken up by the wind is better than being woken up by gunshots
6. The scenery
7. Its about the best place in the world to be reclusive
8. Lots of musicians in Wellington
9. Good vibes, man
10. Sheep

I have an NZ passport, so I'm definitely going there at some point, if only to
retire.
