This is not meant to be an eulogy.

But, I am very shocked of this Terrible Great loss of Laura Gavoor.

My Deepest Sympathy, Thoughts, and Prayer go out to the Gavoor Family.

Laura was one of very few Women in the Detroit Electronic Music Underground
Scene when I started my Record Label in 1990 (Acacia Records), that help
Build our City's Techno Dream in the past decade.
Laura not only Booked myself on various DJ Venues, but alot of other Artists
in Detroit and the Surrounding areas, such as Norma Jean Bell, Theo Parrish,
KDJ,
Kenny Larkin, and Juan Atkins to name a few.
I met Laura in the early 90's .
She was always so full of energy, dances (at Clubs), very down to earth, and
extremely Supportive of the Detroit Electronic Music Scene, including ALL of
it's Artists.
She not only managed her Booking agency for over 10 years (and did very
well), but Organized and Promoted, some of the Best underground Parties with
Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Jeff Mills to name a few.
Laura also Administered, and Consulted a couple of Detroit's Most innovative
Independent Record Labels.
She was like a Sister to me, being one of the first most Prominent "real "
Female Supporters of Techno Music I met to date. Someone who I can call
anytime of the day and night and say "Hey, what ya working on now?", or just
"how are you?", she would just chat away.
Her energy, Free-spirited Soul, and History of Support and work will dearly
be missed....

We Love you
Laura- May you rest in Peace....
