I think the point Christopher was making is that in Beatport it says Original Mix which would be a bit misleading since it is a cover of the *original* and that there isn't any mention or acknowledment of UR MEK Cyclone Wehner [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote on 04/05/2008 07:57:04 PM: It's a cover. Re: (313) Sebastien Leger's Jaguar
Beatport classifies all versions of a song as an original mix, unless there's a remix of that particular song. Since it's a cover; it's considered the Original mix. +odd -- On Apr 7, 2008, at 11:51 AM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I think the point Christopher was making is that in Beatport it says Original Mix which would be a bit misleading since it is a cover of the *original* and that there isn't any mention or acknowledment of UR MEK Cyclone Wehner [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote on 04/05/2008 07:57:04 PM: It's a cover. Re: (313) Sebastien Leger's Jaguar
taken from the Submerge site: Also recently we've recieved a rash of Jaguar bootleg sightings! but this time we are happy to report...Its all good. Sebastian Leger who has done a legal cover version of Jaguar not only called for permission but faced the scrutiny of the UR high command. We applaud his honesty and wish him well. BUT dont forget the Po folk here at Submerge if ya need a copy of the original they are still available from us!! P. no need to pay attention. It is actually garbage-style. I am surprised, I don't think Leger has a huge association with Detroit - he's highly critical of the French 'noise' sound electro- house but I am unsure if he's entirely extricated himself from it! Ben Watt doing it would've been cool. But he wouldn't. He is at least someone who seems to express a greater affinity to those kind of sensibilities. put your hands in the air in the air in the air ;-) I'd rather have people come to UR (and their sound) instead of UR having to go to the people who really don't give a sh*t about Detroit music (and reprogramming the tune so it's acceptable to prog house fans) MEK jwan allen [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote on 03/11/2008 12:19:54 PM: Well after one listen I know it's not for me, but that's okay, I hope it sells a boatload thus adding more money to UR coffers so they can use that cash for new projects/represses for those that slept, etc. Big picture ppl! jw On Tue, Mar 11, 2008 at 1:16 PM, robin [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Umm, not really but at least there's an attempt at re-interpretation there. robin... maybe like this guitar version from beige gt (2001)? http://de. youtube.com/watch?v=kuUC9WSDtO8 -- Technoir Audio http://www.technoiraudio.com dealing with your imperfect world
