Re: (313) live PAs Live PAs :)
I'd like to see a DJ with a shirt that says, "Who the fuck is Jeff Mills?" (or Richie, or May, etc...) or "Who is John Galt?" :P

A few weeks ago, I had some YoungUrbanProfessional lady almost ash her cigarette on my modified TR-606. Needless to say, she got an earful from my girlfriend and I. n8 > Yeah, and seeing people treat thousand dollar gear like something to rest on > is s agitating. Ha HAH HAH!! LOL, I hate it when people don't get what a live PA is. I saw Stewart Walker play his live minimal 4/4 tech and some girl came up to me and said "Can he play some jungle??" Yeah, and seeing people treat thousand dollar gear like something to rest on is s agitating. This guy started resting both hands on a JP-8000 and nearly flipped it right off it's stand! Live PAs can be like that. 2 of my live PA memories: a gig where a drunk guy kept jumping in front of the keyboards and screaming at me "play some beats! play some beats!" (and i intended on bringing in some beats, i just wasn't working on his schedule :)) and a different gig, where, like yours, some people didn't "get" that i was doing a live PA with gear and not spinning records. at one point during my PA, two women were just about to, literally sit down on one of my keyboards that was right beside me on a table. i had to turn and say "um, i'm trying to do a live set here and you can't sit down on my gear, thanks very much". andrew duke :) Cyborg K wrote: > Speaking of ugly memories (which are still fresh as I'm still paying my > dues!)
