Yes, I especially like the Isolee Pyjama Mix. I also recommend the following
records:

Phonogenic Generations (Jesper Dahlback Mix) From Togetha EP (20:20
Vision UK)
DK (Jesper Dahlback) Murder Was The Bass (DK Recordings UK?)
Luciano Quenum Orange Mistake (Cadenza Germany)
Snap Mode Radium Files EP (Relief US)

Also worth checking are the following:

Alaska (Laurent Garnier) Returning Back To Sirius/ At Night (F
Communications/ Mute US)
Erotek Erotek Behavior (Twilight 76 US)
Cem Salman Deep And The City (Teknotika US)
V/A Explore The Space - Version 1.0 (Macintosh US)

Osbourne/Isolee (Spectral) - Daylight. I'm not usually one for Ghostly
International but this is ace. Remember that not somewhat discredited
term,
'intelligent techno'? This made me think of that. Smoothly produced and
enough of a straddle between techno and deep house to please both camps.

yeah i've heard clips of this and it sounds class...there is a another
split 12 from spectral doing the rounds (state of the nation, or summink)
that's meant to be good too but i've not heard that one yet...

(I hope it gets played, many djs imo are still bizarrely dipping into
what
seems to me the majority of releases which are weaker, from the areas we
like - rather than hunting down subtler things like this. (of course
this is
  my subjective opinion)

 :)

another track that's got me at the moment is the Only Child ft Amp Fiddler
track You bring me vibes (it's on the lp but i think the 12 has just
 come out)wicked summer stuff

i don't have these but the DK7 thing on output is really good...slightly
too well produced (if u know what i mean) but very modern acid in a house
way not a squat techno way

the remixes of the above are also quality.

This is an occasion that I actually prefer the *original* and not the Isolee
remix!

Any more info on Snap Mode on Relief? Who is it? (Haven't seen a new
relief record in about 6 years I think!)

This comment intrigued me, could you elaborate on this??

Hi,

Nothing too deep. Just consider this. On this list this year (already) there
have been some records which have been recommended. Most of the time, if one
happens to pick one of this tips up, they turn out to be at least
interesting and sometimes, downright *amazing*! And they're across the map -
I mean, not necessarily in one particular sub-genre.

Yet despite this, how often have you gone out and not only have you *not*
heard any these obviously available tracks, but instead have heard ones
which whilst you don't know their origin, you wish you hadn't become
aquainted with them at all!

We're all guilty of 'obscuritis' at times I admit: the tendency to favour
that which is barely known outside a very small circle of devotees. Perhaps
there is a touch of this going on, with some dj's selections. It's when
perfectly good, but relatively well-known stuff (which is ironic considering
that 'relatively well-known' in our sphere of interest is still damn obscure
from a wider perspective, but hey ...) is eschewed for lesser known but
(sometimes) bloody naff alternatives (I wonder if English curses are let
through?! ;-). This doesn't apply to all disc players, but everyone will be
afflicted at sometime it seems.

As I say, I admit, this could just be my subjective opinion and I'm getting
ancient too ;-) (by some people's standards) but it seems to me that the
above is too often the case, though not always, of course. And I don't want
to make too much of this either - I mean, to a large extent, who cares? The
above gripe is one of the reasons why we organize our own events isn't it?!

Peace

k

i hardly read any reactions to his great new ep on moods grooves

check the b-side - real classic techno soul -

in style of old 'a touch of heaven', retroactive, 'at les',
'desire', eevo
lute, carl craig, and so on

smoothly delayed beats and hats and soft whispering strings, and bubbling
 melodies

side a delivers a great deep house cut

yeah i posted a review of this on friday, wicked 12 and yeah the b-side is
very deep (the middle track i think is the one u mean), the mr g mix side
is the one that grabs ya at firsttop notch...

what we need is spw to slag some tracks off now to get people to talk
about musicnothing else seems to work... ;)

anything else around that's lighting peoples candles?? in a similar vein
to the above (the gene hunt on mg is brill too)
