i have to agree with theo being a great deejay and moodymann not
quit as great from my slight experience hearing both around the
same time at the 3 chairs set @ movement this year. but im still
totally not understanding why people dont like theo's records.
kenny cranks out anthemic sounding tunes, which is great and i
love him and his records. but theo's stuff is just like so much
more abstract and less obvious. you have to work to find his
groove a little bit but once you get it, you really get it. for
me, hes my favorite producer. i can count the number of
songs/remixes that hes dont that i dont like on the fingers (not
the thumb) of one hand. kenny has some really great standout
tunes, but alot more middle ground material than theo, IMO.
