Re: (313) what ever happened to Daniel Lui/Chair Recordings?
Dan is still around popping in and out of the local music scene here in Toronto. He performed live a couple of months ago at an event with some sweet music, not sure if any of it had been released before, but he's still at it. Last I talked to him, he's getting his studio back together after having moved. But he's like most of us, settled down and not as focused on pushing out new music. He still comes out to the check out artists at events around the city... verg.
Re: (313) what ever happened to Daniel Lui/Chair Recordings?
Don't think there are any new Chairs on the horizon -- Charles + I were on the very last electro one.. I believe Dan has focused on being a school teacher during the week and still dabbles in music occasionally, but no longer the main thing. The closing of Roundtable Distribution [Dave Cooper from Play De Record] of course didn't help; it had a lot to do with many of the labels from the midwest [21/22 + Glyph being a few of the others] having to either stop, or move elsewhere [Public Transit Recordings, It Is What It Is].. +odd -- On Feb 4, 2008, at 1:12 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I came across some of his records and I recall them being fairly decent.
