I was referring to the Mirwais CD - I was not very clear. Will have full
report on Madonna when I eventually get my review copy.

Sorry.

Yeah! It is! save for the New Wave song Naive, I think. Quite
electro-sounding - the last few tracks are the bomb. Paradise (Not For Me)
is amazing. I was pleasantly surprised. I love a lot of Madonna's stuff
though. Erotica mixes in really well with PM tracks - should try it!

There must be about 2 or 3 songs from her entire collective that I can
_stand_, but I heard tons of praise on said LP, and the Mirwais track was
great... is it really so good ?

I have never liked Madonna but I must check these tracks out that you all
speak of

the best thing was the Masters At Work remix of Erotica which she hated
(she said she sounded like a chipmunk) but I will check it out.

Go to www.madonnamusic.com and preview the whole thing in streaming
Quicktime (also Flash-heavy). I don't hear anything new on this album.
Just another calculated grab for commercial success, from the people who
dictate the terms of success. Should do well.

And can someone please retire that nasty vocoded vocal treatment?

well, in addition to that she said on the recent album for one of the tracks
she had to sing stone cold-no filters no nothing. and that she was just
terrified b/c she hadn't done that in so long. there's a reason, honey.

I listened to the album a week or two ago via mp3crackhouse and wasn't
impressed. i was actually bored.Like the previous album, which I thought was
better than this one, its a producer's album with her voice over it.she kept
boasting how this was her funky side. I like the enlightened side better.
At least with the previous album, with out her vocals it would have been
even better. with this one, its nada either way on most of the tracks.IMHO

Personally, I like her older stuff better. Its a guilty pleasure right up
there with Neil Diamond. And yes, Ive seen both in concert.
