Re: [313] That Pirelli ad track (was: Re: Ford and Atkins)

It was taken from the Caustic Window (a.k.a. Aphex Twin) Joyrex J9ii 12 and
 it
reappears on the Caustic Window compilation CD (RePHLeX CAT 009 CD), which is
something I hope everyone on this list owns, since it contains some of the
 most
brutal, mind-blowing, life-changing Techno music ever released by mankind.

The track name is The Garden Of Linmiri.

any tips on where i might acquire this incredible cd of which you speak?
(i did look on groovetech. no dice).

umm, Best Buy? 8o) that's where i got my copy of mine... searching for
something else and stumbled upon something good.

if that fails, try cdnow or amazon. it's a pretty mainstream cd.

good luck! BTW, it is a jewel.

 - Greg (Who can't understand how anyone could object to wider exposure
for amazing tracks like No UFOs)

I like the Beach Boys, when I hear Good Vibrations I think of Orange
Crush.

I like David Bowie, when I hear Heroes I think of Microsoft.

I like Galaxie 500, when I hear Instrumental I think of Japanese cars.

I like the Stooges, when I hear Search and Destroy I think of Nike
Air.

I don't want to be hear Strings of Life and have a mental image of that
horrible little pepsi girl dancing at the club with Albert Einstein. :)

take care,
Mike

I agree the Pirelli ad was cool. At the time I think it gave Techno

One thing that troubles me is that I can't think of any thirty seconds
 of No
UFOs or pretty much any techno song that does justice to the whole
 thing.
The Pirelli track was an original composition for the commercial if I'm
 not
  mistaken.
