listening to a mix from slsk - Technasia - Live at I Love Techno 2000 and
would love some help IDing the beginning track (with the slightly Asian

and I think it's a remix of Depeche Mode (Dave Clarke?)

Re: (313) technasia mix ID help

2003-03-17 Thread Michael . Elliot-Knight

I should say -
up to the part where the guy yells out something about techno over the
beginning of the Depeche Mode track it's actually the tracks leading up
to that point I'm curious about. I think there are about three, maybe four
tracks total.

Try and get your hands on the ´Plus - Charles Siegling
live at Club Orange - Beijing China´ album!
It was released about 4 months ago and it gives
a very good impression of the skills of Charles
Siegling (the one half of technasia who dj´s)
Check www.technasia.com for details..

Furthermore i have seen a recent MP3 dj-set by Siegling
recorded at club Fuse in Brussels at 03.02.2002 on WINMX
and Kazaa...also recommended!

with half the filesize. most of my tracks on EMMs site

[313] Technasia Sets...

2002-04-13 Thread Mark S Flintoft
OK, after following the link on Technasia's site you wind up here:
http://www.ejay.co.uk/netradio/channels_single_techno.php?menue_name=techno%
20orbit# (you'll probably have to cut n' paste that, sorry)

After that you can't directly access the set...it seems they have rotating
sets by multiple residents including Technasia. If anyone can figure out if
there are archives on this site let me know as the layout of this site is
damned confusing.

However a short clip of their live PA @ I Love Techno can be found on this

Anyone heard Technasia's side 'poppier' project PopSoda? It's exclusive to

I know that they played a stormer at I Love Techno last year in Belgium
and
are supposedly doing a live set in London this August time.

Technasia Live in Belgium was a bit normal. I was kind of surprised. Their
live set didn't sound much like their tracks. It was, dare I say, ravey.
That was kind of dissapointing. It was at a 20,000+ people show though, so
take that for what it's worth. It wasn't bad or anything, just not the level
of sonic oddity I would've expected. My Mills devirgining there was quite
pleasant though. :)

Having never seen either of them play, I can't say. Go to the homepage and
click on events and scroll to the bottom of the section dj set and live set
downloads. Their tracks are solid, I'll say that much.

Having both heard Amil from Technasia Dj and been in contact with him ever
since Force was released. All I can say is, like their music his selection
and
Dj style are impeccable. Props to Green Galactic for having Amil throw down
at their intimate event in Miami. These two guys (Amil Charles) are all
about quality and not
just pumping out record after record. Other labels they run are Star Tracks
and Sino.
I believe he said Mr. John Tejada was one of the forthcoming releases on
Sino.
With all this in mind I would put them at the top of your list of people to
go see
and/or book for a gig.(if anyone needs their booking contact I can forward
that on)

While on the subject of good labels and producers I wonder how many people
on this list were feeling Octave One Black Water. I know I played it to
death in both
house and techno sets. It also was the one track that really stood out the
last time
I heard Jeff Mills play here in Toronto.

Finally fresh 12 releases from the Round Table family
the new Format 006 and Chair 011 for all
underground heads around the world.

Blackwateryes.YES. The Ultimate Detroit escapade for me.
It totally eclipsed Jaguar in my book, suppose we needed it to.

Is it deffo gonna be John Tejada as John Thomas has turned a few in on Sino.

I love his stuff, really kept the Rob Hood sound alive in his occassional
absence.

Just a pretender though as there is only one Hood.

show they do from mainland China. They are trying to push the envelop for
Asian artists.

i remember an article about them in german magazine groove. the radio
station is called shenzhen radio 2 which can be heard in the area of
shanghai, shenzhen and foshan. they said that they wanted to play lil
louis' french kiss but they were not allowed to do so :-)

Technasia #5 Force will be officially released in April 2000.

For the time being, you can listen to a Realaudio preview at the website.

Technasia 'Genesis' Sino 001

I finally managed to pick this record up yesterday, from everyone's favourite
record shop Small Fish. (they also have copies of 'Techno Rebels' I bought a
copy, I suggest you do!)

After hearing Derrick May cane this record and others, I finally tracked it
down and didn't hesitate to purchase it.

Quality techno, a possible classic in the making, we'll see!

Cyclone is the track on everyones lips, or should I say in everyone's mind!

This is techno, this is great!

laters,

They're based out of Hong Kong, and have about 4or5? releases to date,

Check out the website for more info:

As well, I played a couple of their tracks on my show last week.
You can listen to it on Real Audio until 10 EST Wed. nite (it gets
deleted at that point) http://www.1groove.com/shows/equinox/index.html

1st one (The Declamation) kicks in @ 2:13, and the second track (Swarm)
around 2:36.
