NEWS: Pump Panel - The Real 'Blade'PRESS STATEMENT FROM MISSILE RECORDS

THE PUMP PANEL - CONFUSION?

In June 1995 Tim Taylor and Dan Zamani (aka The Pump Panel) remixed New
Order's Confusion for London FFrr with the 12 marketed as a 'Pump Panel'
release.

The track was subsequently personally chosen by Wesley Snipes as the opening
techno track to the futuristic Vampire film 'Blade' as the music to the
initial club/bloodbath scene in 1998.

Now 2 tracks that have sampled the entire riff from the track have both
crashed into the top ten in the UK charts: Public Domain's - 'Operation
Blade' and Warp Brothers v. Aquagen's - 'Phatt Bass'.

Missile would just like to say the following: Fact - 2 records currently
in the top 10, namely Warp Brothers vs Aquagen- Phatt Bass and Public
Domain - Operation Blade have nothing whatsoever to do with the film Blade.
What they also have in common is that they both rip off our infamous rude
303 riff from our version of Confusion that was used to devastating effect
in the opening club sequence of the film (Pump Panel credited at the end).
We are in the process of licensing this to Missile Records for immediate
release so that people can check out the genuine article which started all
the fuss.

Confusion was and is the official theme of Blade - ignore the imposters.
